SUMMIT PRAIRIE LOOKOUT
R.I.P. 1924-1967
This log and shake cabin with roof platform (also referred to as Dark Cabin), located 1/2 mile northwest of the summit on the ridgetop, was built in 1924. In 1933, an L-4 cab was added atop the summit. Staffed until 1963, trail crews used the site until both structures were destroyed in 1967.
