PEOH POINT LOOKOUT
R.I.P. 1951-1974; 1974-1996
Perched atop a 2000' cliff, an L-4 cab was built in 1951. This was followed by a DNR live-in cab atop a 10 foot concrete block base built in 1974. It was ordered destroyed in 1996 by short-sighted DNR managers who don't appreciate the historic value of lookouts. It had briefly been seen in the television series "Northern Exposure" which was filmed in nearby Roslyn, Washington, and was located only 2 miles north of Taneum Point L.O. on the same ridge.
