Originally developed in 1946 with a log cabin, replaced in 1954 by an L-4 cab, a 40' wooden live-in DNR tower. built in 1968, was last staffed by the Wenatchee National Forest in 1998. Storm damage broke one of the tower legs over the winter of 2006/2007, leading to the tower being torn down in the Spring of 2007. It was listed on the National Historic Lookout Register.
