Established with a tent camp in 1910, a 14x14' cab was constructed in 1924. An R-6 flat cab, built in 1958, was available on the Recreation Rental program and listed on the National Historic Lookout Register. It burned in an August 2002 forest fire. A replacement rental cabin was built in 2004.
