Developed with a 25' pole L-5 tower in 1934, the present 41' treated timber L-4 tower, built in 1948, was staffed up to the 1998 fire season. It was then placed on the Recreation Rental program, but was staffed again starting in 2001. It is still available as an off-season Recreation Rental. It is listed on the National Historic Lookout Register.
