FREMONT POINT LOOKOUT
R.I.P. 1936-2002
Developed with a camp in 1930, a 72' steel tower with ground cabin living quarters were built in 1936. Used during emergencies since the 1960's, the cabin was on the Recreation Rental program, but burned in a 2002 forest fire. The fire also damaged the steel tower, making it necessary to tear it down. A new ground cabin has since been constructed used exclusively as a Recreation Rental.
