Developed in 1936 with a 12' wooden live-in tower, this unconventional 15' 3-legged steel tower with live-in cab replaced it in 1970. Staffed into the 2000's, the structure remains on site but has been replaced by an automated detection camera. The lookout is listed on the National Historic Lookout Register.
