A camp was established here in 1935, with an Aircraft Warning Service cabin built in 1942. An L-4 cab was constructed in 1954. An ODF cab, built in 1987, was being staffed every summer and was still there in 2010. In the Spring of 2012, it was discovered the cabin had burnt to the ground. Coos FPA had already replaced the lookout with a detection camera.
