TAFT SUMMIT LOOKOUT
R.I.P. 1909-1910
A 35' pole platform tower was constructed in 1909, only to have two of its legs burned in the Great Idaho Fire of 1910, causing it to fall into adjacent Montana Power Company lines. In the 1930's, an L-4 tower was built, but destroyed in the 1950's. There was also a crow's nest 1/2 mile east, which is still there.
