ELK MOUNTAIN LOOKOUT
Developed in 1923 with a 10x10' frame cab and roof platform, a 10' pole tower with L-4 cab was built in 1940 1/4 mile southwest of the summit. Suffering from vandalism and decay, the tower now lays in ruins. There is also an L-6 cab 1 mile northeast of the lookout.
