SAWYER RIDGE LOOKOUT
Originally constructed in 1949, the 41' treated timber tower with L-4 cab may have been a replacement site for Marble Point Lookout 2 miles to the north. In 1987, the tower was purchased by Bruce and Nancy Dreher and moved to their home overlooking the Salmon River and the Slate Creek community. Bruce re-erected the top 28' of the tower, and the cab now serves as Nancy's art studio. The tower is listed on the National Historic Lookout Register.
