NELSON PEAK LOOKOUT
R.I.P. 1920's-?
Established in the 1920's by a log cabin with cupola, a 48' pole platform was built atop the west summit in 1935 (ruins still there in the 1980's). Then in 1939 an L-4 tower was constructed atop the east summit. It was destroyed in 1969. There was also a patrol point 1.5 miles northwest.
