PINNACLE PEAK LOOKOUT
The summit has also been called Mount Pete. 1928: 30' pole platform tower. 1942: cabin. 1950: 20' wooden L-4 tower. Destroyed 1971. A 'replica' 20 foot wooden tower with viewing platform and windowless cab was constructed in 2021. Built as a point of interest, not staffed for fire detection. Referred to now as the "Mount Peak Fire Tower."
