MOUNT ADAMS LOOKOUT
The highest lookout site in Washington state, construction began on the D-6 cupola cabin in 1918, but continued for 3 years. The lookout was staffed from 1922-1924 then abandoned. Sulfur miners took over the cabin in the 1930's, adding a couple of additions and recycling the cupola in the process. The cabin is still there, encased in ice most of the time.
