KLOSHE NANITCH LOOKOUT
R.I.P. 1917-1963; 1996-2012
Developed in 1917 with a D-6 cupola cabin, the original structure was destroyed in 1963. A replica of the cabin was built in 1996 with state, federal and private funding as a barrier-free visitor center in the summer and rental lookout in the winter. Neither of these plans came to fruition, and with no funding earmarked for maintenance, the structure suffered from vandalism, resulting in the cabin being torn down in October 2012.
