PEAVINE MOUNTAIN LOOKOUT
R.I.P. 1961-2006
Established in the 1920's with a camp and a tree platform, a 40' L-4 tower replaced it in 1933. A 41' treated timber tower with ODF live-in cab, built in 1961 3/4 mile northeast of the original site, was being staffed into the 2000s. Structure inspections revealed dry rot in the tower, resulting in it being burned to the ground November 20th, 2006.
