ONION MOUNTAIN LOOKOUT
Developed about 1915 with a 20' platform tower, a D-6 cupola replaced it in 1924. An Aircraft Warning Service cabin was built in 1942. The present 10' treated timber L-4 tower, built in 1952, was staffed into the 1990's. It was made available on the Recreation Rental program, but staffed again in 2007. It was still in use into the early 2010s but is presently abandoned.
