MOUNT HEBO LOOKOUT
R.I.P. 1950-1978
Mount Hebo has had a wide variety of structures, all located on different points of the mountain. In 1913, 3 observation points were used along with tent living quarters. Then in 1924, a cupola cabin was built on the northeast summit, along with a 30' platform on the southwest summit. In 1937, a 53' L-4 tower was positioned on the east summit, followed by a 67' treated timber L-4 on the northwest summit in 1950. The last tower was removed in 1978.
