DESOLATION BUTTE LOOKOUT
Developed in 1923 (possibly 1918) with a 50' steel tower and frame cabin living quarters, the present 67' treated timber tower with R-6 flat cab was built in 1961 and is staffed every summer. Known lookout personnel: 1918: Granville Plant.
