A log cabin and 3-legged platform tower were established here in 1915, with another platform tower built in 1928 1/4 mile away. A 30' pole L-4 tower was constructed in 1933, replaced by the present 30' treated timber R-6 flat tower in 1959. It is staffed during the summer.
