GARVER MOUNTAIN LOOKOUT
The first lookout here was a 1929 log cabin, which is still there. In 1932, a 48' pole tower with 6x6' cab was constructed, and had a patrol point atop Little Garver. In 1963, the present 30' treated timber tower with R-6 flat cab was built, but hasn't been staffed for many years. The cabin and tower have been restored and are available on the Recreation Rental program. The site is listed on the National Historic Lookout Register.
