WEITAS BUTTE LOOKOUT
Weitas is a "cleaned up" version of the original name of Wet Ass. Developed in 1931 with a 30' pole tower topped with an L-4 cab, a garage was added in 1935. The present 53' treated timber tower with L-4 cab, built in 1953, became one of the first lookouts to be placed on the Recreation Rental program, in 1983. It is presently on standby status.
