Developed in 1929 with a cupola cabin, the present 10' concrete base with R-6 flat cab, built in 1963, presently houses communication equipment, and is used by Idaho Fish & Game for management of a mountain goat herd in the vicinity. There was also a patrol lookout 1 mile to the west atop Spotted Louis Peak.
