HUGHES RIDGE LOOKOUT
The site started with a crow's nest tree lookout in 1926, plus one for patrol 4 miles to the north. About 1933, a 40' L-4 tower was built. The present 41' treated timber tower with L-4 cab, built in 1953, is staffed in the summer. It is listed on the National Historic Lookout Register.
